Bench Bello Showcases New Collection Inspired by the Shared Heritage of the Philippines and Indonesia at the Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival

Celebrated Filipino designer Bench Bellounveiled his latest menswear collection at the Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MF), the region’s largest and most prestigious showcase of modest fashion.

Known for his bold and luxurious design approach, Bello presented a collection that pays tribute to the deep cultural connections between the Philippines and Indonesia, drawing inspiration from the textile traditions and shared Austronesian heritage of both nations.

Traditional craftsmanship with a modern, fashion-forward aesthetic, the collection redefines modest menswear honoring cultural roots while embracing innovation and contemporary style. Each ensemble captures the spirit of Southeast Asian artistry, celebrating unity through design.

The event was attended by prominent figures from Indonesia’s fashion and cultural sectors, along with distinguished international guests. The Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia was also expected to grace the occasion, demonstrating the Philippine Embassy’s strong support for Filipino representation in global fashion and reinforcing creative ties between the two countries.

“My collection is inspired by the shared heritage of the Philippines and Indonesia. History tells us that both nations are deeply connected through our Austronesian roots and centuries of cultural exchange,” said Bench Bello. “This showcase is my way of celebrating that connection through design.”

Bello also expressed his gratitude to the Philippine Embassy in Indonesia, particularly to Radegunda Velasco-Dela Cruz, Cultural Officer Attaché, and Maricar S. Yambao, Second Secretary and Consul, for their unwavering support. He also acknowledged Amerigo Tatel of B2B ASEAN for facilitating valuable cross-cultural collaborations.
